Allotments have been on the site for a number of years, originally they were run by the council.
They were reduced in size when allotments became unpopular during the 1970's. However at the turn of the century we expanded the allotments again.
The allotment site became self managed in 1991, in recent years we have lost virtually all support from the local council, as a result of government cutbacks.
The Management committee of the allotment have taken on more responsibility and the site has continued to develop.
We currently have a waiting list for potential plot holders, you can apply to go on the waiting list through the Application page.
All the produce below was grown on the allotment!
